As a PDX Pop Now! production, the compilation includes a democratic aspect. After surviving the listening panel, final tracks are then selected with attention to diversity, representation and popularity.
Announcing the 12th Annual PDX Pop Now! Festival July 24-26 at AudioCinema, in Portland, Oregon.
In keeping with our legacy as one of the nations few free, all ages, and all-volunteer music festivals, the PDX Pop Now! festival returns July 24-26 with 45 genres-spanning sets from Portland musicians. Set amid the Southeast industrial district at AudioCinema, the festival will feature two stages, food carts, a street fair, and Portland’s renowned band basketball tournament Rigsketball.
Additionally, we are excited to continue our partnership with Music in The Schools, who will be curating a second year of festival sets from high school bands across Portland!
As an all volunteer, non-profit organization, PDX Pop Now! is dedicated to stimulating and expanding community participation in Portland music. Through the annual three day festival, yearly classroom events, and two-disc compilation, we strive to actively engage the community while highlighting Portland’s diverse and vibrant musical talent.
PDX Pop Now! works to fulfill our mission in a democratic and accessible way. The festival is curated through a public nomination process and a volunteer voting committee that is focused on being inclusive to all genres and age groups.
Expect more news to come this spring when we announce the full 2015 lineup and release our annual two-disc compilation!

Thank you so very much to everyone who participated in this years Give!Guide campaign! It was our most successful to date raising a grand total of $16,000. A special thank you to our matching sponsor, Biamp Sound Systems, for playing a significant role in helping us achieve our goal. Also thank to you to Gina Altamura and Music In the Schools for supporting our mission of access to live music for all ages regardless of age or income.
We had 62 repeat donors who on average gave more this year than last. We also had a record setting 73 new donors give. Each donation made an impact this year as we had the most donors under 35 in our Arts category. The demand for all ages music is growing and thanks to you, PDX Pop Now! is able to support musical growth and discovery.
Thank you to everyone for championing the cause of PDX Pop Now! and ensuring our continued success. Without YOU there is no way we would be able to run the programs our city demands. As an all volunteer organization, PDX Pop now! is unique in everything is does. Thank you for helping us shine the spotlight on local music and the impact it plays in the community.
