PDX Pop Now! 2014-2015 Team
PDX Pop Now! is managed by a volunteer Board of Executive Directors and Coordinators. Each Director is responsible for overseeing a particular facet of the organization, including but not limited to Logistics, Fundraising/Sponsorship, Grants, Outreach, Booking, Compilation, Tech/Web, Volunteer Coordination, Communications and Design. In this regard our Board operates in the capacity of a rotating volunteer staff.

Kelsey Johnson, Outreach Coordinator, graduated from the University of Oregon in 2011 with a degree in broadcast journalism. She grew up in the Portland area and enjoyed seeing the explosion and evolution in the local music scene. She wanted to get involved with PPN because she believes everyone should have access to live, local music! She loves working with kids and this position has been a great opportunity to reach out our community and inspire young people through arts and music.
Jessie Robertson, Development Director, is originally from San Francisco and moved to Portland in 2009 after graduating from Willamette University. With a background in development, she currently works in Blood Services at the American Red Cross coordinating specialized platelet match donations for patients across the country. She first joined PDX Pop Now as a member of the listening committee and is excited to have a more involved role in making music accessible to everyone. When not volunteering you can find her making mix CDs, debating between coffee or tea, and working up the courage to go biking in the rain.
Annie Ostrowski, Media Director, relocated to Portland after graduating with a degree in communications at Sonoma State University. She currently works as a music publicist for Riot Act Media and contributing writer to Myspoonful.com, in addition to her longtime role as the editor and writer for the Noise Pop & Treasure Island music festivals out of San Francisco. Annie began her volunteer work with PDX Pop Now! in 2011 as part of the 2012 festival booking committee and joined the board as Media Director summer 2012.
Beth Martin, Media Coordinator, is a Northwest native making Portland her home since 2006. She began volunteering for PDX Pop Now! in 2011 at the Compilation Release Party and summer Festival, has been on the Booking Committee and Listening Committee since 2012, was the Volunteer Coordinator from 2012 to 2015 and signed on as Media Coordinator in January 2015. PDX Pop Now! is her favorite aspect of the local music scene and she is thrilled to see what 2015 has in store. She currently works for a local boutique music licensing agency.
Christine Rutan, Administrative Director, graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine where she studied English and Environmental Studies and worked for the college’s radio station,WBOR. She joined the board in March, but has volunteered with PDX Pop Now! in various roles since 2005. Having grown up in and around the organization, she is excited to be back in Portland to return the favor and help PDX Pop Now! with its own growth. She is currently studying GIS and learning to run alongside a puppy.
Jordan Brown, Sponsorship Coordinator is a University of Oregon graduate who studied sociology and music. In her spare time she attends as many concerts and music festivals as she can, and hopes to one day be a part of the planning team for a large Northwest music festival. She is extremely excited to be involved with PDX Pop Now!.
Mike Elliott, Tech Coordinator, is a nefarious videographer & audio engineer, who just happens to also assist nonprofits and the local arts community with photography, web development, design, and strategy. Though he is by no means a Jack of all trades, Michael surely exudes and evangelizes the DIY ethic & spirit. Having toured the world as musician and composer from a very young age, Michael is quite psyched to contribute to a kick-butt organization that is highly committed to bringing music and the arts to the Portland community.
Annie Miranda, Graphics and Media Coordinator, made the trek from Billings, Montana to Portland 5 years ago to pursue music, food, and friendship. She graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and International Business. She currently works as Graphic Designer and Events Coordinator for a third-party health insurance company as well as Art Director and Event Coordinator for Touchy Feely Records, a new indie label here in Portland. In her spare time she does freelance graphic design work for local bands and companies. Annie volunteered her time on graphic projects for the 2013 PDX Pop Now! Festival and officially joined the team in 2014 as Graphics and Media Coordinator.
Christina Tomaselli, Green Room Coordinator, relocated to Portland from New York in 2007. She began volunteering for PPN at the 2014 festival and is eager to help make this year’s festival the best one yet. She is also on the Listening Committee. She enjoys attending shows around town, going on hikes, and browsing books. She is currently working as a Project Assistant for an engineering company downtown.
